Nazdar SourceOne Hosts PVC-Free Screen Printing Summit

August 26, 2014

The textile inks business unit of Nazdar SourceOne, Shawnee, Kan., and M&R, Glen Ellyn, Ill., partnered to host a PVC-free printing summit, which was held July 16-18.

More than 50 people — representing Nazdar SourceOne, M&R screen-printing equipment, SGIA/Sustainable Green Printing Partnership, sportswear garment manufacturers and 18 screen-printing companies from the United States, Mexico and Central America — attended the three-day summit.

“It was a great opportunity for screen-printing companies and makers of sportswear to see latest developments in M&R screen-printing equipment and Nazdar inks — and to get a peek at how M&R’s research and development department is designing innovative equipment that will continue to increase productivity and decrease costs,” says Rich Hoffman, CEO/owner of M&R. “Attendees also garnered a wealth of knowledge about inks, substrates and the requirements of non-PVC printing on apparel.”

Attendees participated in interactive presentations on sustainable printing practices, developments in screen-printing ink and equipment technology, upcoming trends and manufacturer requirements for performance sportswear decoration.
