Epson America, Long Beach, Calif., recently partnered with sportswear company Triflare to create swimsuits for its “Swimming in Ink” event, which showcased Epson’s new EcoTank printers with performances by the U.S. National Sychronized Swimming Team.
The day-long product launch took place in New York’s Times Square and featured a series of swim performances in a 17,000-gallon, multicolored tank. The USA Synchro team wore original swimsuits designed by Triflare, the official competition apparel sponsor of USA Synchro. The Triflare original designs were printed using Epson SureColor F dye-sublimation transfer printing technology.
The swimsuit designs integrated cyan, magenta, yellow, and black (CMYK) colors to represent the inks featured in the new EcoTank line of printers and incorporated a range of bold designs and shapes to help the suits stand out for the performances in the tank.
