Scott Fresener Releases Upgraded T-Seps Software

November 3, 2014

Scott Fresener of T-Biz Network Intl., Scottsdale, Ariz., has released an upgrade to his T-Seps software.

T-Seps 3.5 Separation Suite is an automated color separation plug-in that is designed to work specifically in Adobe Photoshop CC 2014. It allows screen printers to do high-end color separations with very little Photoshop experience, according to the company. T-Seps originally was called FastFilms.

“With the evolution and changes Adobe Photoshop is making, we have to constantly be upgrading our program to meet their demands,” Fresener says. “The new Photoshop CC 2014 required a different architecture than earlier versions, which is why T-Seps 3.5 only works in Photoshop CC 2014. But users of earlier versions of my software, including FastFilms and T-Seps 3.0, can easily upgrade to T-Seps 3.5.”

T-Seps 3.5 offers a variety of color-separation methods, including simulated process color, index color, CMYK, spot color, discharge/water-based ink, monochrome black-and-white, and old photo/vintage separations. It also has a lot of special graphic effects built in, including edge effects, distressed looks and image-improvement routines for low-quality artwork.

“My original program FastFilms set the standard for automated programs, and now T-Seps 3.5 takes separating to a new level,” Fresener says. “Starting with T-Seps 3.0, I added new routines for images with faces and flesh tones, images with flames and orange, and a routine for boat/ocean images with lots of blues and water colors. And, I have greatly improved the discharge separation routine.”

T-Seps 3.5 comes with an 85-page PDF manual and test files. Fresener also offers a 20-day free trial download with a built-in RIP that converts files to halftone dots, adds registration marks and even lets customers preview the final seps as halftone dots and in color.
