Kornit Digital Europe GmbH, Ratingen, Germany, recently introduced its new Paradigm II digital add-on station at the Imprinted Sportswear Shows (ISS) event in Long Beach, Calif., held this past Jan. 16-18.
The Paradigm II was developed to complement screen-printing carousels and oval machines. With superior short-run and multicolor capabilities, the add-on station allows for direct-to-garment printing to be united into an analog production line to work in tandem, according to the company. It creates unique garment applications, merging inexpensive white layers and effects from the screen-printing process with benefits such as photorealistic skin tones and smooth gradations, a high yield and process efficiencies.
In addition to mass-customization environments, this versatile direct-to-garment printer can be used just for digital applications, according to the company.
The Paradigm II uses the company’s NeoPigment one-step process, which boasts Oeko-Tex 100, GOTS and AATCC certification. It can produce up to 200 garments per hour, and is ideal for use on cottons and blends, Lycra, silk, viscose, leather, denim and more.
It has a maximum printing area of 15.5” x 19.5” and an output resolution of up to 600 dpi. Its eight Spectra Dimatix Polaris print heads are designed to handle around-the-clock production.
