Google recently rented three mPower MP10i printers from Anajet Inc., Costa Mesa, Calif., for a marketing event, held Nov. 24-25 in Times Square.
Google’s event marketing agency, The Magnetic Collaborative, rented the printers from AnaJet to support Google’s Androidify event. It involved Times Square visitors creating custom, animated Androids of themselves on mobile devices provided by Google.
They were then able to play interactive games with their Androids on the new 25,000-square-foot LED screen that takes up the entire block between 45th and 46th streets in New York. Visitors also received personalized printed T-shirts with their very own Androids on them.
During the two days, Anajet printers cranked out more than 1,700 custom shirts.
The video shown above provides more details about the event.
